Forging and steel trade: a 30-year success story
The year 2024 is particularly important for us as our company celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. What does this mean for us? Three decades of experience, many goals achieved and significant milestones in our development. And countless successes that have given us new motivation and inspiration.
Founded by Péter Faragó in 1994, our family business is located in Budapest, in the old Csepel Works. Our main activities are steel trading and drop forging, which are carried out at this central location. We also carry out steel and/or non-ferrous metal forging at our three other sites in Érd, Székesfehérvár and Zalaegerszeg.
Our company is structured into a number of interdependent and mutually supportive parts, through which the products we produce gradually increase in value.

Our forged products are manufactured in accordance with the strict requirements of IATF 16949 automotive standards, guaranteeing outstanding quality and reliability. Our service departments, such as steel trading or heat treatment, ensure the right operating conditions according to ISO 9001:2015.

Aluminium and steel forging: applications and market opportunities
Our continuous development is not only due to our high quality, but also to our commercial policy, as our main objective is to continuously improve the quality of our customer service. As a result, in 2005 we made a significant step forward in production by acquiring the Székesfehérvár aluminium forging plant, which has been a major player in the forging and aluminium and aluminium alloy products market since the 1950s.

Innovation and expansion: new products and certifications in forging
Flansch – Tech Ltd. has been continuously developing and improving during its 30 years of existence.
In 2007 our Székesfehérvár plant obtained the ISO/TS 16949:2002 certificate. In the same year, we looked forward to further expansion. In order to meet customer demand, we started forging bronze and copper products and acquired the famous steel forging plant in Csepel. Once the renovation work was completed, we were able to start forging steel and its alloys from 0.5 to 12 kg.
In 2014, we made a new investment and bought a forge in Érd, so we now have three forges. In 2018, we integrated the forging plant of Metaszolg Ltd. in Zalaegerszeg into our company, where we also implemented the ISO 9001:2015 standard and thus we were able to manufacture and distribute other types of forged products, smaller series and heavier weight.
In 2020, the company started to improve heat treatment at its site in Érd, for which it was able to use grant money, which was made available to the company under the Covid 19 mitigation programme package. Vacuum heat treatment was thus added to the company’s portfolio.
